If money left your account through fraud, speed matters. Calling 1930 early helps the authorities try to freeze the money before it moves on.

How to file

    Call 1930 at once

    Give the transaction ID, amount, time and the account or UPI ID the money went to.

  2. 2

    Tell your bank

    Ask the bank to block the card or account and note the complaint number.

  3. 3

    Report at cybercrime.gov.in

    File the complaint online with screenshots, bank statements and the fraudster's number or link.

  4. 4

    Keep following up

    Note the acknowledgement number, and if needed file an FIR at your local police station or cyber cell.
