Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-18
Shikayat (shikayat.co and the Shikayat Android app, operated by Abys Tech) helps people in India plan and draft complaints and legal notices. By using it you agree to these terms.
What Shikayat is
- Shikayat is a technology platform, not a law firm. Drafts are prepared from the facts you give and are not legal advice.
- Planning a complaint and drafting a legal notice is free. You can preview the unsigned draft as a PDF before paying anything.
- An advocate's review and signature is a paid step. The advocate is an independent, enrolled advocate who is responsible for the advice and signature they give.
- We do not promise any outcome. Whether a notice or complaint succeeds depends on the facts, the evidence and the other side.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in Indian rupees and include GST. The price you see before you pay is the price you are charged.
- You pay for an advocate to review and sign your notice. You can add, for a further fee, that the advocate emails the signed notice to the other party from the advocate's own email address.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay (UPI, cards and netbanking). We do not see or store your card or bank details.
- Refunds are explained in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Your responsibilities
- Give true and complete facts. A notice is only as accurate as the information it is drafted from, and you confirm the draft before paying.
- Do not use Shikayat to harass anyone or to make claims you know to be false.
- You are responsible for the notice you choose to send, including when we send it on your behalf.
Limits and changes
- To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid for it.
- We may change these terms or the service. Changes apply from the date they are posted here.
- Questions or complaints: [email protected].
