FSSAI regulates food safety in India. You can report unsafe food through its complaint channel, and your district food safety officer can inspect and act.
What it handles
- Expired, spoiled or contaminated packaged food
- Adulteration and unhygienic shops or restaurants
- Misleading labels and missing licences
How to file

Keep the evidence
Keep the sealed product, packaging, batch number and bill. Take photos and video.

Seek medical care first if needed
Keep medical papers if anyone fell ill.

Report it
Use FSSAI's Food Safety Connect (app or portal), or contact your district food safety officer.

Claim as a consumer
For refund and compensation, send a legal notice and file at the Consumer Commission.
