Lokpal: complain about corruption by a public servant

The Lokpal of India looks into complaints of corruption against certain public servants under the Prevention of Corruption Act. States have a Lokayukta for state officials.

How to file

    Check if it fits

    The Lokpal covers certain public servants, such as ministers, MPs and central officials. State officials usually fall under the state Lokayukta.

    Collect facts and proof

    Write who did what, when and where, and attach documents, recordings or witness details.

    File the complaint

    File online on the Lokpal portal in the prescribed form, or by post.

    Do not file a false complaint

    A complaint that is false or made to harass can lead to penalties.
