NPCI: raise a UPI dispute

NPCI runs UPI. If a payment fails, is wrong or is not credited, raise the issue with your UPI app and bank first, then use NPCI's dispute redressal system if needed.

- Money debited but not credited
- Payment sent to the wrong UPI ID or number
- Merchant payment problems
How to file

Report in your UPI app
Use the help or report-a-problem option with the transaction ID (UTR).

Contact your bank
Write to your bank and keep the complaint number.

Use NPCI's dispute system
If your bank does not resolve it, raise a dispute on NPCI's UPI dispute redressal page.

Escalate to the RBI Ombudsman
After 30 days without a solution, file free at cms.rbi.org.in.
